The Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas (KKP), in collaboration with Tarlac State University through the Department of Chemistry, successfully concluded its 2026 annual conference with the theme, “Green Chemistry for a Changing World: Empowering Sustainable Communities”.
Held from February 23-24, 2026 at the Alumni Center, Lucinda Campus, this marked the first time the organization hosted its prestigious event outside of Metro Manila.
KKP President Dr. Christina A. Binag expressed hope that the conference would pave the way for the establishment of the KKP-Central Luzon Chapter. She also shared that the organization plans to expand its reach to other regions following its engagement with TSU.
The conference featured six plenary sessions, four workshops, and awards for the best posters with the aim to highlight cutting-edge research, technologies, and best practices that drive green transformations – from cleaner production and circular bioeconomy to climate-resilient innovations and community-centered science.
