The Tarlac State University Chorale has bagged another major win, this time in foreign soil, as the songsters won the 2024 Taipei International Chorale Competition's Gold Award for the Musica Sacra category and Contemporary Music category last July 30 to August 2 in Taiwan.
One of the singers of the chorale was CCS' very own Mark Zablan, an incoming junior of BSIS-BA.
Led by long-time chorale coach Joshua Fontanilla, the group earned a ticket to the Grand Prix where they were going to face other countries' chorales in the East Asia region. Ultimately, the University of Mindanao emerged victorious from the Grand Prix.
This is the group's second consecutive major win this year after clutching the gold prize at the inaugural Pangasinan Choral Fest.
